At Applecross Village you are spoiled for choice between the Applecross Inn and the Walled Garden Restaurant in the gardens of Applecross House. Why not just make two trips so you can sample them both? The scenery and beaches there make this a very tempting prospect.

Nanny's Shieldaig

 

Nannieswas originally a small corrugated iron shop, and now is a brand new, purpose built cafe.

Nanny's will offer you a warm highland welcome, friendly service, tasty home cooked food and a breathtaking view!

The languestine and squat lobster served at nannies are caught by Lynns Husband whos is a local fisherman, in Loch Torridon, you can't get any more local than that!

The Torridon is luckily right on our door step. A luxury hotel with a gourmet restaurant it boasts the Whisky Bar which stocks over 350 different whiskeys from Scotland and around the world. It also has a lovely inn serving local pub grub.

Walled Garden Applecross

 

 

A peacful way to while away some hours up in the Highlands. The walled garden is beautiful when in full bloom. If you fancy a coffee you can also visit the potting shed cafe.

The Applecross inn has a convivial bar with a fireplace and broad whisky selection, plus a summer beer garden and an informal restaurant specializing in local seafood.

Tom and Emily run Shieldaig Outdoor Adventures.

They provide a range of outdoor activities from summer mountain walking to canoeing.

Measach Falls

 

 

A wee dirve from us is the  Corrieshalloch Gorge. One of the finest examples in Britain of a box canyon. The river which carved this channel through hard metamorphic rock plunges 46m (150 ft) over the Falls of Measach.

Gille Brighde

 

 

Gille Brighde is Gaelic for The Oystercatcher. But this Gille Brighde is not a bird but a lovely wee cafe and restaurant. We advise booking in advance as its very popular and gets extremely busy! 

Tigh an Eileen bar and coastal kitchen

 

A busy little kitchen and bar serving local seafood. A must try for fresh seafood straight off the boat.

Torridon Smokehouse

 

 

This smokehouse is a small family run business located in the Highlands. The setting is the picturesque village of Shieldag. The family produces hot and cold smoked salmon in the smokehouse. They take great pride in hand producing a simple oak smoked salmon. 

Whistle Stop Cafe

 

A local cafe serving afternoon teas and all manner of tasty goods. Also watch out for special events such a ladies night which runs once in a while, fun guaranteed!

Kishorn Seafood Bar

The ever popular seafood bar is celebrating its 20th year in 2016. Serving amazing sefood platters and even the option to build your own platter!

Bealach Gallery and cafe

 

 

Named after the historic pass through the mountains in this peninsula the Bealach offers a great place to stop for a coffee and pick up some locally produce arts and crafts.
